The Lion Theatre tickets & upcoming events

If you’re into catching big-name Broadway shows or eclectic performances in Chicago, The Lion Theatre is one spot you don’t want to miss. It’s kind of like the city’s secret hub for both touring productions and local acts, with a vibe that’s cozy but still has that professional polish. They often host major Broadway tours, so you might catch a show that just came off the Great White Way, which is pretty cool. But what really sets it apart are the themed nights like Talkback Tuesdays, where after the show you get to chat with the cast and crew, it’s like a backstage pass without the backstage pass price. The venue has also hosted some killer jazz nights, like a legendary Herbie Hancock concert back in 2003 that still gets talked about. The sound and lighting are top-notch, thanks to smart tech setups that make every note and scene pop. You'll see all kinds of folks there, from families bringing the kids to young professionals grabbing a quick escape from the daily grind. And if you're coming from Lincoln Park, just hop on the bus heading south on N. Clark and switch to a route on West 18th, or walk from the waterfront along W. 18th for a laid-back route. Whether you want front-row seats, VIP sections for KPOP fans, or budget-friendly options, The Lion Theatre's seating chart and user-friendly ticket page make picking your perfect spot pretty easy. Honestly, it’s the kind of place where you can stumble into a great show, end up chatting with new friends, and leave thinking, wow, that was worth every penny.
